Working Groups
Being volunteer run NZISA relies on working groups to help drive its activities and spread the workload:
Personal Connection Player Sub-Committee
Central Districts, Christchurch and Wellington
The Personal Connection Player Sub-Committee reviews and administers all Personal Connection Player applications that a player may submit to enter an NZISA event for their particular ‘home’ club. The committee looks at the persons dedication and involvement with the club, and determines their credentials to becoming aligned to their chosen club. Further details on becoming a Personal Connection Player can be found here.
Planning Sub-Committee
Bay of Plenty, Christchurch, North Harbour and Wellington
The Planning Sub-Committee looks into the organisational structure of NZISA and its events, in addition to creating and implementing a Strategic Plan and its associated sub aims. A majority of work has been completed and a timeline has been put in place to work through the areas this committee have highlighted.
Profile Sub-Committee
Auckland, Waikato, Central Districts and Pukekohe
The Profile Sub-Committee organises, designs and creates a profile for NZISA. The first item of attention was the creation of this website. In addition the group is in charge of NZISA’s social media such as Facebook and Instagram and investigates other ways to engage and promote NZISA and its activities to the wider Indian community of New Zealand.
Remit Sub-Committee
Group A - Bay of Plenty, Christchurch, North Harbour and Wellington
Group B - Auckland, Central Districts, Pukekohe and Waikato
The Remit Sub-Committee is made up of two groups of four clubs. Their tasks involve the review and feedback of any remits that a club or executive member may have for NZISA to consider. More on the remit process can be found here.
Tournament Committee
President, Secretary, Past Two Event Hosts and Future Event Host Clubs
The Tournament Committee rotates on a yearly basis. It differs for each NZISA event and consists of the past two host clubs, and the next two future host clubs. It also includes the President and Secretary, with the President being the Tournament Controller (or a delegated person in the President’s absence). One to two delegates from each club are required to make themselves available to arrange and co-ordinate the event in question.
