NZISA MEN'S TAKE OUT HERITAGE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT!
A huge congratulations to the NZISA Men’s Hockey Team for taking out the 2024 NZ Heritage Hockey Tournament over Easter Weekend!
The Men’s had a clean sweep over the weekend with wins against NZ Maori Juniors (4-2), NZ Asian (5-0), and NZ Fiji (2-2) (2-4 shootout) with a great win in the final against NZ Fiji again (3-1).
The Women had a great tournament, the first with all players of Indian decent. They had a loss against NZ Maori Juniors (1-2), a win against NZ Asian (2-1), a loss against NZ Heritage (1-1) (3-2 shootout) and loss against NZ Asian (0-3).
The calibre of hockey was very high this year, and it was great to have NZISA represented by a vast array of players from around the country.
NZISA thanks all players, coaches, managers, assistant managers, and physios for all their effort prior to and during the event. We look forward to the 2025 event, where we hope the Men’s can go back to back, and our Women’s take out the title!
